About Us
Schwa Studios is a mother/daughter team of teachers who have taught musical theatre and voice all around the world. Whether you are a professional or are just looking to bring some fun into your life, we are here to help you on your way. The two of us work together to give our students the best outcomes; at Schwa studios, you will receive the benefits of working with both of us, one-on-one and in tandem. We firmly believe that there is a healthy way to sing in any style, including using distortion, and we want to help you find the most comfortable version of yourself in as many different styles as you want. We teach in-person and online, providing individual lessons, classes, and workshops. The needs of our students are always our priority. We chose the name Schwa Studios, not only because the schwa appears in our last name, but because of what it represents. As a phonetic symbol, the schwa is unique: an entirely unstressed syllable. One of our goals is to take care of our students as whole people and performers. We firmly believe that singing and acting should be enjoyable, so we provide students with the tools they need to relieve stress while they are performing, and we work hard to create an anti-racist, LGBTQIAA+ friendly, accessible, and feminist space.
